MITSUBISHI LINEUP

Raider Raider: Intimidation is more than skin deep. Drive a Raider and you'll come to appreciate the inner peace that comes from brute strength. Being the baddest one on the block has its privileges. The secret to this inner peace lies just beneath Raider's chiseled lines. First, Raider is the only midsize import-brand pickup to offer a choice of either a V6 or a V8 engine. And the 4.7-liter V8 is a workhorse. With its 290 lb-ft of torque, Raider can tow up to a class-leading 6,500 pounds*. But the motor alone doesn't make the truck. A choice of 2WD, 2WD/part-time 4WD or full-time 4WD (commonly known as AWD) means that you can own any road and master any conditions. Dig deeper still and you'll find that Raider's fully boxed steel frame with hydro-formed octagonal rail tips helps make Raider as safe as it is capable. All of this means that when you're in the driver's seat, you'll get to know the calm that comes along with the power of intimidation.

But don't be misled. Raider is no unrefined brute. Rough and tough on the outside is one thing, but that doesn't mean that the interior can't be spacious and sophisticated. Raider Double Cab offers the most overall interior space of any midsize import-brand pickup. And that's why Raider is the only midsize import-brand truck to offer six-passenger seating*. Choose from a surprising array of luxurious appointments and you've got a bruiser that cleans up real nice. All of this is what makes Raider the perfect blend of comfort and capacity. In other words, it's an awful tough act to follow. And follow is exactly what the other trucks are going to be doing.

*All advantage claims are supported by AIC Autosource manufacturer data reported as of June 2005. Based on Import Midsize Pickup Truck category as defined by Jato Dynamics for vehicles sold in the U.S. Retailer terms and availability may vary. Not all features are standard on every Raider model.

Montero MONTERO: It's not often that an SUV can be all things to all people. But that's exactly what you get with the 2006 Montero. The Montero is a bona-fide off-road legend. Specially prepared versions have won the grueling Dakar Rally for the last five years running. Success like that doesn't come easy. It comes from pure capability. And Montero has it in spades, with the technology to master any terrain. Its Active Trac® drive system gives you the traction to conquer any situation. In the event that traction is compromised, Mitsubishi Active Skid and Traction Control System (M-ASTC) controls engine speed while modulating the brake system to seamlessly restore traction and peace of mind. What's more, the Montero's five-speed Sportronic® transmission with adaptive shift control and clutchless manual shift mode gives you the best of both worlds. Smooth, electronically controlled automatic shifts when you want a more hands-off approach, or quick sequential manual shifting when you need more control. Active safety. Born in competition and proven in the real world.

But Montero is more than the sum of its capabilities. It offers these capabilities paired with all of the luxury flourishes SUV buyers expect and then some. As the first SUV to offer a disappearing third-row seat, this workhorse can seat seven adults in high style. And the extensive list of standard features means that there is more than enough luxury to go around. From boulders to boulevard, Montero can handle anything that gets thrown its way. All things to all people. It's a pretty good thing to be.

Endeavor ENDEAVOR: There are plenty of SUVs to drive if you want to go incognito. The Endeavor isn't one of them. Endeavor's crisp styling and wide stance don't let you blend in with the crowd. But you'd rather shine anyway. That's why you chose Endeavor in the first place. The metallic-finish interior treatments. The 17-inch polished alloy wheels. The sharp new available chrome grille. They all add up to a distinctive physicality that really stands out from the boxy masses.

But Endeavor is just as distinctive under the skin. With its available all-wheel drive and standard Sportronic® transmission being fed by a torque-rich 3.8-liter V6, Endeavor's driving characteristics fulfill the promise implied by the styling. Borrowing from a heritage that has innumerable off-road racing victories to its credit, the Endeavor has the DNA that other sport utility vehicles can only dream of. All this and the kids can still have that remote-controlled DVD video entertainment system with wireless headphones*.

Who needs to blend in? Especially when standing out is so rewarding.

Outlander

OUTLANDER: The 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander is all new featuring a longer wheelbase and a wider track and is available in three trims: ES, LS and XLS. Under the hood is a new 220-horsepower aluminum MIVEC V6 engine that’s teamed to a six-speed Sportronic automatic transmission with available magnesium steering-wheel-paddle shifters. The exterior is highlighted by a “diamond cut” front end, boldly sculpted fender flares and LED taillight clusters that give a distinct look. Tinted glass is standard on LS and XLS while the XLS also receives a color-keyed front bumper with silver skid plate extension, silver-painted roof rails, door handles, dual exhaust tailpipe outlets and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior features smooth forms and sculpted door panels that are offset by silver-accent trim, deeply contoured front bucket seats and motorcycle-style instrument panel gauges. The load floor is nearly eight inches lower than its predecessor and when the tailgate is lowered, it can also serve as a seat for outdoor activities with a weight capacity of 440 lbs.

Lancer Evolution LANCER EVOLUTION: The obsession. The dedication. The incremental performance gains. The weight-shaving engineering. The uncompromising purity of intention. The Lancer Evolution is one of the most purpose-driven performance cars on the planet. And each successive iteration of the car begs new creative thinking. Make more power, save more weight, brake a little deeper, clip the apex a little tighter. Come out of the corner a little harder. If you are reading this you already understand. The performance numbers are staggering. The four consecutive World Rally Championship driver's titles are legendary. The 4G63 motor code is street shorthand for dominance. It's automotive Darwinism.

It's evolution.

And Lancer Evolution lives up to the heritage. It now generates an incomprehensible 286 horsepower from only two-liters of displacement; this is the highest power-to-displacement ratio of any production inline four-cylinder engine in the world, at 146 horsepower produced per liter of displacement. The list of performance tweaks testifies to the vision. The refined front aerodynamics reduce lift and improve intercooler efficiency. Under the magnesium valve covers, hollow camshafts save rotational weight, and less inertia means that engine RPMs build faster and acceleration times go down. New MIVEC variable valve timing helps the engine breathe better at high revs. Aluminum roof*, hood and fender panels save weight and lower the Lancer Evolution's center of gravity. A twin-scroll turbocharger virtually eliminates turbo lag. A Vortex Generator* tunes and directs air onto the rear spoiler's new wickerbill* to generate maximum downforce at speed. High-performance Yokohama Advan® tires claw at the road. And the revolutionary Active Center Differential continuously optimizes torque delivery to the wheels that have the most traction during cornering, with optimization settings for tarmac, gravel and snow. Want to name check some performance heritage? The Brembo® multi-piston brake calipers and Mitsubishi Sport ABS brakes help you stop like you dropped anchor. The Momo® steering wheel and contoured and drilled aluminum pedals make driver input feel almost telepathic. Recaro® seats with new Alcantara® fabric hold you in place even under the most extreme cornering loads. Tuned Bilstein®* struts with inverted dampers improve road feel and ride quality. And lightweight aluminum alloy BBS®* or Enkei® wheels lower the rotational weight even more.

Sure we're obsessed. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Obsession breeding evolution.
Eclipse ECLIPSE:

The acclaimed shape of the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse lets you know right from the beginning. This is no ordinary sports coupe. And the Eclipse GT's 3.8-liter MIVEC engine confirms the promise. At low revolutions the engine’s 260 lb-ft of torque give the Eclipse stoplight authority, while at higher revs variable valve timing provides pure top-end power. A six-speed manual or a five-speed Sportronic ® automatic transmission puts power to pavement. To keep it there, increased platform and body rigidity lend composure at any speed. The performance-tuned suspension with McPherson struts in the front and a low-mounted multilink rear give the new Eclipse the sharp, precise handling to master any road. And the four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution provide ample stopping power and active safety.

Inside, the Eclipse is equally responsive. The interior envelops the driver. The seats cradle. A unique and stylish gauge cluster informs. And the available Rockford Fosgate ® audio system has some serious punch, with 650 watts (max.), a 6-CD/MP3-compatible in-dash changer and nine speakers, including a 10” rear subwoofer. The GT's available premium-sport package includes the Rockford Fosgate ® audio system and also gives more discerning Eclipse buyers additional performance and style, with 18-inch seven-spoke alloy rims, heated (six way power adjustable) leather seating surfaces, a power sunroof, alloy pedals and more.

With its 2.4-liter MIVEC power plant, the Eclipse GS also delivers ample performance. With a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed Sportronic ® transmission and a considerable array of standard features, the GS offers unique personal luxury at an affordable price.

2007 Spyder ECLIPSE SPYDER:

The 2007 Eclipse Spyder is proof positive that life doesn’t have to be dull. Moreover, improving your outlook might be as simple as expanding your field of vision. Push the button. Drop the top. In about 19 seconds it is gone, satisfyingly stored under its integrated hard tonneau cover. But what’s left is pure Eclipse. From the chrome-clear taillight clusters to the high haunches, from the raked windshield to its parabolic fog lights, Spyder has all of the signature design cues of the Eclipse Coupe. And now this benchmark design can be had with a big helping of sky and stars.

We may have taken off the roof, but we sure didn’t take anything else away. Bells and whistles come standard. That means you get all the goodies you want along with your fresh air. Start with the 650-watt (max.) Rockford Fosgate® audio system. With Digital Signal Processing, it has a 6-CD/MP3-compatible in-dash changer and 9 speakers, including an integrated 8” rear subwoofer. It bumps. With 6 MP3-encoded CDs, the in-dash changer is capable of delivering up to 30 hours of music. It even automatically changes the sound frequency to adjust for both top-up and top-down listening environments. But the interior touches aren’t limited to the radio. The soft-touch wave-form cockpit with ice-blue LED illumination is as crisp as the night. The alloy pedals are a quintessential high-performance design flourish. And available heated leather seating surfaces invite you to keep the top down as long as you want.

Step on the gas and the GT’s 3.8-liter MIVEC engine backs up every claim implied by the design. At lower revolutions the engine delivers pavement-ripping torque. Once the revs climb, it gives a rush of power all the way to redline. A six-speed manual or five-speed Sportronic® transmission sends power to the wheels, while an independent suspension with McPherson struts up front and a rear multilink with coil-over shocks helps keep all that power in check. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution stop on a dime, while an advanced front air bag safety system with side impact air bags† provides ample passive safety.

The GT isn’t the only one in the family having a good time though. The Eclipse Spyder GS , with its 2.4-liter MIVEC motor, also delivers ample performance. With a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed Sportronic® transmission and a boatload of standard features, the Spyder GS gives you red-carpet style at a nice price.

† Air bags can cause serious injury or death to anyone too close to an air bag when it deploys. To decrease the risk of injury from a deploying air bag, all occupants must be properly restrained and seated well back, upright and in the middle of the seat. Do not lean against the door. Always place children 12 and under in the rear seat and use appropriate child restraints. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat. See your owner's manual and instructions provided with your child restraint for more information.

Galant GALANT: Dare to be different. That's the attitude of the Galant. It is the car that brings your lifestyle to an affordable sedan. Under the hood, the Galant has a 2.4-liter MIVEC engine standard, while a 3.8-liter V6 is available for LS and GTS buyers who want to flex a little muscle. What's more, Galant's Sportronic® transmission with adaptive shift control (LS and GTS only) learns how you drive and adjusts accordingly; or if you prefer, use its clutchless manual shift mode and enjoy hands-on shifting. Keeping you connected to the pavement is a multilink independent rear suspension for a smooth ride and sharp handling. And the traction-control system available to LS and GTS buyers provides even more performance, monitoring the drive wheels for traction loss and instantly transferring power to the wheel with the most grip.

All of this performance is matched to a long list of available luxury features. New multi-spoke, 16-inch aluminum rims are offered on the ES and LS, while the GTS has 17-inch rims standard. But the exclusive touches go well beyond the skin. Inside, chrome and titanium-finish accents adorn the center console and door handles. Optional heated front leather seating surfaces and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with remote audio controls afford traditional sophistication, while the available 270-watt, eight-speaker stereo with MP3 playback capability is the epitome of modern technology.

What's more, the Galant boasts some of the most advanced safety equipment available at any price point. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) are standard equipment on ES, LS and GTS models. Further, a tire-pressure monitor is included on vehicles equipped with the alloy wheels with TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system; this package is standard on LS and GTS models and optional equipment on the ES. Galant also offers dual front seat-mounted, side-impact air bags† and advanced dual-stage front air bags as standard features.† All this gives it a five-star rating for frontal crash safety based on tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).*

All of this in the best backed** midsize car on the road.

Galant SE GALANT SE :

Style might be subjective, but originality isn’t. Dare to be different. That’s the attitude of the Galant. The Galant SE takes this a step further, bringing your lifestyle ambitions to an affordable sedan. From every angle, this is no ordinary Galant. Smoked headlight lenses and fog lamps warm up the night. Multi-spoke, limited-edition 17-inch alloy wheels add extra shine. And smoked chrome-clear taillights, a large chrome exhaust tip and an integrated spoiler finish the overall look.

The blend of style and substance is more than skin deep. Inside, a color LCD display with a trip computer informs. Brushed aluminum pedals give both grip and style. Black leather seating surfaces coddle. A sport-wrapped leatherette steering wheel with audio controls for the six-speaker, MP3-compatible audio system puts you in control. And a rich, black-finish center console with chrome accents and an automatic climate control system complete the interior treatments.

Under the hood, the Galant SE’s 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine distributes an outstanding balance of performance and economy, the benefit of the MIVEC variable valve timing. An adaptive four-speed automatic transmission “learns” your driving style and then optimizes shift points to get the power to the pavement, while a multilink independent rear suspension gives the Galant SE a smooth ride and sharp handling.

What’s more, it boasts advanced dual front-seat-mounted, side-impact air bags†. A tire-pressure monitor system adds another layer of active safety, while Mitsubishi’s extensive warranty coverage helps to keep you on the road for years to come.
